New eBook: Haiku Ponderings

Over the past month, I have been releasing episodes of The Haiku Pond. I started the idea of this podcast back in January of this year. Along with the podcast idea, I also had the idea to create my first collection of haiku.

Well, here we are 6 months later and it’s time to release the haiku collection out into the world!

The ebook contains over 100 haiku and 5 mini essays focused on Mindfulness, Gratitude, Compassion, Love & Loss, and Give & Forgive. If you’ve been listening to The Haiku Pond podcast, then these probably sound familiar to you. I used the same themes in the podcast and ebook.

And the 5 mini essays that accompany those themes were similar (or in some cases the same) as the thoughts I shared during episodes of the podcast.

This book was part of my reflective process of getting through the year 2020—in particular getting through a pandemic filled world of chaos and instability. Writing haiku helped me stay focused on the important things (like practicing gratitude) and then later writing the mini essays helped me put into words what lessons I learned from the year 2020.

As of June 7, 2021, my ebook is available worldwide in 10+ retailers including Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Nobles, Kobo, and many more! You can also get the ebook on the following library apps: OverDrive, Biblioteca, Baker & Taylor, and Hoopla. Ask your local librarian what app they use for ebooks.

The best place find out where it purchase is at http://books2read.com/haiku. From there, you can click on your preferred retailer and the link will take you there.

If you’ve been enjoying the podcast, The Haiku Pond, and want more I’ve got great news! Season 2 is coming!

But first, I want your feedback. Complete this Google Form to let me know what you thought of Season 1—it’s only 5 questions and can be completed in a matter of minutes.

And to make sure you don’t miss the launch of Season 2, here’s the mailing list for the podcast.

Thanks so much to the listeners and haiku poets for your support and contributions to Season 1 of The Haiku Pond. I can’t wait to get started on Season 2. Until then, complete the survey, join the mailing list, and buy my haiku collection.
